Meet The Team


David is a Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with the HCPC,

His qualifications include a postgraduate diploma (PG Dip) in Manipulative Physiotherapy and BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. He is a member of the Manipulation Association of Physiotherapists (MACP), a group of just over 1000 physiotherapists in the country with specialised post-graduate training in the assessment and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal pain.

David graduated from the University of Southampton in 1999. Since then he has worked in the UK and New Zealand. His roles have varied from working with children and county sports teams to managing teams of physiotherapists in the NHS and private sectors.

He now spends the majority of his time at DC Physio and Physio@Fareham and also works part time for Southern Health Foundation NHS Trust as a Clinical Specialist Spinal Physiotherapist specialising in back and neck pains.

Jay is a spinal, shoulder and lower limb clinical specialist physio with over 19 years of experience. He works with the Neuro Spinal surgical service at the Southampton General Hospital. He lectures across Europe on a variety of post-graduate physiotherapy courses. He specialises in golf injuries, injury prevention and the biomechanics associated with the golf swing. Jay offers PGA accredited courses on swing biomechanics, injury rehabilitation and performance enhancement and has recommendations from such golfers as Ian Woosnam. Jay gained this experience over many years as a golfer and working with some top golf coaches such as Tim Barter (European Tour coach) of Sky Sports and Martin Butcher (ex tour player and England Ladies coach).

As a registered blind individual Jay is also a member of the England Blind Golf Team and has been fortunate to play all over the world, winning the Blind British Open, British Masters and divisions of the US and Canadian Opens.

As well as working with golfers of all levels, Jay has been involved with the training of many physios who deal with top athletes from many sports. These sports include rugby, training the welsh national team physios and other premiership sides such as London Wasps, Cardiff Blues, and Leicester Tigers. Football club physios from Newcastle, Sunderland, Liverpool, Fulham, Cardiff, Portsmouth and many other teams have attended courses that Jay has taught.

Jay always aims to achieve full recovery in conjunction with the prevention of recurrence.

Georgie is a Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with the HCPC.

Her qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Professional Development in Health: Continence (University of East London) and she completed the ACPWH (now POGP) post graduate course in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1992. She is a member of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecology Physiotherapy Group (POGP).

Georgie graduated from Guy’s Hospital School of Physiotherapy in 1983. Since then she has worked in various hospitals in London, including Guy’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, prior to moving to the local area. She worked for Professor Linda Cardoza in London for almost ten years, working both at King’s College Hospital in the Urogynaecology department and also for her private practice in Devonshire Place.

She now spends her time working at DC Physio and Physio at Fareham and also works part time for Southern Health Foundation NHS Trust as a Community Physiotherapist.

Abi manages the day to day administration of DC Physio and Physio at Fareham. She is likely to be the voice you hear on the end of the phone when you call the practice.

She works part time, but will get back to you with your enquiry as soon as possible.
